ITINERARY DETAILS

 

Day 1:  Arrival at Cochin

Upon arrival at Cochin airport, you will meet our representative who will escort you to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities, rest and relax and then proceed sightseeing in Cochin.

Cochin is an important port city also known as Kochi and Ernakulum. Today, this cosmopolitan city, also known as the “Gateway to Kerala”, experiences the most amazing vistas with panoramic attractions. The exhilarating sight that you will visit includes Santa Cruz Basilica, Dutch Palace or Mattancherry Palace, and St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in the country. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Cochin.

 

Day 2:  Cochin – Munnar 

 

Enjoy a splendid breakfast and proceed for Munnar. After arriving, check into the hotel. Munnar, situated almost 6,000ft above sea level, watches the rhapsody of the carpeted emerald green tea plantation with its pleasant climate. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Cochin.

 

Day 3:  Munnar

 

After morning breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of beautiful Munnar. The places you will visit include Christ Church, Eravikulam National Park, Nilgiri Tahr, Mattupetty Dam, and Anamudi Peak. Enjoy a guided short trek in the beautiful hill station. Later visit Echo point, a very popular place for the natural phenomenon. The echo that reverberates after hitting the distant hills is fascinating. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar.

 

Day 4:  Munnar – Thekkady

 

After a delicious breakfast, complete your check-out formalities from the hotel and move towards Thekkady, famous for its Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon, have a motorboat ride on Periyar Lake for enjoying the scenic environs by the lakeside. Periyar attracts tourists with its incredible variety of wildlife, including birds, and animals, and has a superb experience. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Thekkady.

 

Day 5:  Thekkady – Alleppey 

 

Check out from the hotel/resort and drive to Alleppey. After arriving, go onboard a luxury houseboat, locally known as Kettuvallam. The houseboat (floating luxury villa), equipped with modern comforts, consists of many rooms with several variations. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and observe the lifestyle of the people. Balance of the day you are at leisure to enjoy the backwater paradise at its best. The backwaters have a unique ecosystem - freshwater from the rivers meets the seawater from the Arabian Sea. An overnight stay at the houseboat follows this.

 

Day 6:  Alleppey - Kovalam

 

The houseboat reaches Alleppey in the morning. Disembark the houseboat after a splendid breakfast and proceed towards Kovalam, the beach town, by surface. Complete your check-in formalities upon arrival and relax for some time in the hotel. After that, you have the option of visiting the various beaches or enjoying water sports. You can also enjoy a massage and spa at one of the many Ayurveda centers. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel at Kovalam.

 

Day 7:  Kovalam-Kanyakumari-Kovalam

 

After breakfast, enjoy beautiful Kovalam Beach in the morning and then make your way towards Kanyakumari, also known as Cape Comorin during the British days. Here, you will visit the famous Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Kanyakumari Temple. Enjoy your day at the beach. If time permits, en route you may also visit the incredible Padmanabhapuram Palace. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel at Kovalam.

 

Day 8:  Trivandrum 

Get transferred to Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram. Enjoy sightseeing in Trivandrum in the morning (if time permits). Drop back at the airport in the afternoon bidding farewell to God’s Own Country. Kerala with memories to last for a lifetime.
