Day 1: Goa
On reaching Goa, get a transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 2: North Goa
Post breakfast, leave for a long sightseeing day. Panaji, the capital is an ideal gateway for a holiday in Goa. Visit the major attraction of Goa i.e. Anjuna Beach, it’s the capital of Goa’s rave scene, a beach where anything goes, and where people of all kinds congregate. The beach is famous for its Flea market. The market starts at about noon and people begin to leave after sunset. A nice way of getting to and from the market is by boat.
Candolim is the southernmost beach on the Bardez Coast. A large number of boat operators also offer dolphin and crocodile spotting trips, island trips fishing expeditions, and river cruises. One of the most beautiful forts in Goa is just a short driving distance away from Candolim. Aguada Fort was built in 1612 and gets its name from the three freshwater springs within it. Near the arched entrance of the fort are a citadel and a lighthouse, built-in Asia in 1846. Calangute Beach is the most popular beach and holiday resort in Goa. It is also known as the Queen of Goan beaches. Baga Beach offers a spectacular view and it’s a great walk for adventurous activities. Baga is also home to some of the biggest hotspots by night. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and have a comfortable stay at night.
Day 3: South Goa
After having your breakfast, explore the beauty of South Goa. Its spot of interest is the Basilica of Bom Jesus built in the 16th century and which contains the holy relics of St. Francis Xavier, the Church of St Francis of Assisi, St Cajetan’s Church of Our Lady of the Rosary. The majority of Goa’s most interesting temples lie in Ponda Taluka, The Shantadurga Temple is as good a site as any to begin your journey into Hindu Goa. The temple of Nagueshi, which venerates Shiva as the Lord of Snakes is located next to the palace of the king of Sonda. The 16th-century Laxmi-Narasimha Temple is a gem in yellow, green, and cream.
Later, after lunch visit the South Goa Beaches for water activities and view the sunset in the evening. Colva beach is simply a place for a pleasant evening stroll for Madgaon’s denizens. Colva Church is dedicated to Our Lady of Mercy, was built in 1581 and then rebuilt in the 18th century. The greatest object of veneration here is not the patron saint of the church but a statue of Menino Jesus. Palolem beach used to be one of the quietest beaches in Goa. It is Goa’s most beautiful beach, a shallow bay fringed with white sand and coconut palms. A tiny island stands to its northern side and snorkeling off its waters, one comes across a bunch of treasures such as sea urchins and sea cucumbers. Head back to the hotel for dinner and stay overnight.
