ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1:  Arrival – Bhubaneswar

The glorious Orissa tour starts with your arrival at Bhubaneswar airport, our tour representative will escort you to the hotel. Register yourself at the hotel reception.

The city tour starts with The Lingaraj temple, which is one of the most sacred places for Hindus. Pay respect to the Linga form of Lord Shiva. The Kedar Gouri temple and Sai Baba temple are a short way from the temple complex. The unique architecture and the peacefulness enduring in the air spellbind all visitors. Take the blessings of the divine.

Then next sight you may cover Khandagiri Udaygiri caves. These caves are the earliest group of Jain rock-cut shelters. The caves hold importance for their history, rock-cut architecture, art, and religion. The evening is free for leisure, walking around the local markets of Bhubaneswar, and you may also explore the cultural dance and music programs. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2:  Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri

Relish a wholesome morning meal and check out from the hotel to proceed to Konark also famed as the land of Black Pagoda. The coastal paradise has its own historical significance and glorious cultural heritage. It hosts the UNESCO world heritage site of the Konark Sun Temple. The huge chariot-shaped temple is a display of Odishan architecture. Honored to the Sun God, this ancient temple is a treasure.

Next, you visit Chandrabhaga beach. The beach is mentioned in many mythological texts. The palm-fringed beach is steeped in tradition and has a long coastline that makes it a perfect gateway for nature lovers. After sightseeing head towards Puri. Check in the hotel. Freshen up as you are scheduled to visit Puri Jagannath temple and Gundicha temple. Get blessed by the heavenly powers. The evening is kept free. Return to hotel for overnight stay at Puri.

Day 3:  Puri – Chillika – Puri

Start your day early. Enjoy a lavish breakfast in the hotel. Drive towards Satpara, Chillika. Asia's largest saline water lagoon, Chilika is recognized as one of the most important wetlands in the world. It is known for the spotting of beautiful Irwadi Dolphins. The lake is also home to a phenomenal variety of birds. Enchants visitors with its pleasant climate, lovely surroundings, and splendid sunset, back to Puri to have dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4:  Puri – Pipili – Dhauli – Bhubaneswar

After breakfast gets ready to check out from the hotel and drive to Bhubaneswar. En-route stop at Pipili. The small town is notable for its brilliant Applique handicrafts which are used to decorate walls and doors during festive times. Stop and purchase the lampshades and parasols hanging outside the local shop.

Now, drive towards Dhauli, located on the banks of river Daya. This city is associated with the great legends of Emperor Ashoka. It is said the bloodbath war of Kalinga had turned the river red. The horrible destruction had converted the heart of the emperor and made him a propagator of peace. The city has a Shanti Stupa, edicts of Ashoka's messages, and ancient temples.

Upon arrival check-in into the hotel and relax. In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Nandakanan, which hosts an amazing zoo inhabiting some of the wild species of the region. If you are lucky enough meet white Royal Bengal tigers, Gharials, and other species. The flora species of the region are also top class. Top up your next visit to the divine temples i.e. Ram Mandir and Rajarani temple etc.

Day 5:  Bhubaneswar – Departure
