ITINERARY DETAILS
Day 1: Delhi - Leh
Take an early morning flight from New Delhi airport to Leh, which is located at an altitude of 3542 meters and is one of the most popular tourist sites in India. Upon arriving in Leh, meet our tour representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. Register yourself at the hotel, it is extremely important that you acclimatize yourself to the high pressure of the high altitude so a full day is for relaxation. Dinner and Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2: Leh - Alchi - Leh
After breakfast gets ready for sightseeing in incredible Leh. Let’s begin the journey and drive westwards of Leh to visit Alchi Monastery. The Buddhist monastery, Alchi Gompa was founded in the 11th century and is located on the banks of the River Indus. It is regarded as the most important Buddhist center in Ladakh and a jewel of monastic skills. On the way, stop at the Magnetic Hill- one of the wonders of the Himalayas and later halt to click some pictures at the confluence of Rivers Zanskar and Indus in Nimu. When you are returning back to the hotel, visit the Military Hall of Fame- a museum constructed and maintained by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian Soldiers. Stay overnight.
Day 3: Leh - Nubra Valley
After early breakfast has a ride to Nubra Valley, by road. Drive past Khardungla, known as the highest motorable road in the world, placed at an altitude of 18380 feet. Enjoy the enthralling views. The afternoon is scheduled for a visit to Hundur and Diskit monasteries, placed at a small distance from each other. Both are admired Buddhist monasteries of Nubra. The next visit is to the white sand dunes where you involve yourself in Camel Safari on double-humped camels, found only in Nubra. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 4: Nubra Valley - Leh
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Samstanling Monastery located at Sumur Village which is known for its peaceful and calm ambiance and assembly halls with artifacts. Return to Leh via Khardung La. The evening is scheduled for exploring the local markets of Leh, where you can get your hands on some amazing local stuff such as wood carvings, embroidered Pashmina shawls, Semi-Precious Stones, Masks, Yak wool blankets, pearls, handicrafts, and more. Dinner and Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 5: Leh - Pangong Lake
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Pangong Lake. On the way, drive past Chang La- the high mountain pass at an altitude of 15000 feet. Later, continue towards the lake crossing Durnuk and Tangtse village, placed in the Changthang region. Afternoon arrives at the banks of beautiful Asia’s biggest brackish water lake. The blue Pangong lake is about 144 km long and forms the boundaries between India and China. Treat your eyes to the amazing views of the surrounding area. Visit the nearby located local village to gain an insight into the local culture of Leh. Dinner and Overnight in tents.
Day 6: Pangong - Leh
Get enthralled by the natural beauty of Pangong Lake and capture some early morning scenic environs by the lakeside. Later, have breakfast and begin driving back to Leh. On the way, if you want, you can halt at the richest and the largest monastery of Ladakh, Hemis Monastery. Afternoon arrival in Leh. After arriving, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. The evening is scheduled for exploring the local markets of Leh, you can indulge in shopping for handmade souvenirs for your loved ones back home. Overnight stay.
Day 7: Leh - Delhi
On the morning of the last, get an assisted transfer to the Kushok Bakula airport to board a flight for Delhi.
